Sneax

Here's a little look into the metal I've been working on lately. Guitars are all me, Justin Adam and I worked on the lyrics and so far Justin and I have laid down some loose vocals. Drums on the way as well as full vocal tracks.

Shits raw like yer anus

Recently:

For the past couple of weeks I've been using hair in my art.. idk, shits kinda weird, but I like the way the lines come out. Also got more into watercolor - using color in general, I like how it blends with the ink.

More artzzzzzz

Some slightly more recent work, from winter break to nowish. all of this art (including the previous post) moves chronologically from the bottom up. Materials are pretty much the same as before, oh yeah, but i forgot to add that beer/liquor are used a lot as a base coat. Oh, and the one with the inverted cross is covered in tape, I burned the cross in, melted tape looks cool.
If you have any questions or responses please feel free to leave comments or e-mail me or whatevaaa. I like to hear what people think.

A bit ov art.

Just some art I was working on fall sem 09. Done with some various combination of the following: ink, water color, coffee, black tea, red pepper, cough syrup, high lighter, graphite. I'll post more later, there's quite a few of these guys. Also, I just photographed these with my little digital camera, the lighting is kinda bad, but I gotta say the clarity is much better than I expected. Anyways, enjoy.

Heathland Grime

This one is still a bit of a work in progress. Adam Fanning did most of the engineer work, pretty sure Justin helped. Unfortunately we didn't a lot enough time to have everyone do a vocal track, but I think it all worked out pretty well. Lucas Lohmann and Mason Thomas wrote lyrics, shit's dope. This is a bit of a compilation of a couple ideas I was tossing together around the start of first semester until the end of winter break. It has since evolved. Maybe we'll do another draft, or a refinement... I donno. Just get it.

Heathland Grime

HAHA! I just listened to this again, totally forgot to mention that the end of the song is a joke.. although I do kinda like the rain stick/frog noises bit. that shits rad.

A Rough Day In Hell

I don't remember when, but it was sometime near the end of summer in '09. It was hot, it was Sacramento, we were about to go back to/leave for the first time for college, we were antsy, and we were drinking. We all decided that we didn't record nearly enough metal, so we figured we would give it a shot before leaving for our various future destinations. I suppose I should add at this point that "we" was Lucas Lohmann, Justin Langstroth, and myself (Yuri Kahan), the original cast of the project loosely named 'Narthex'. Justin and I had both taken the past year off and he had been teaching me how to play metal guitar, so this all seemed very fitting. Anyways, we all got pretty loaded, got some baumkron, and set to making an epic 4 track ep. Of those proposed 4 tracks, only 1 was made: Wolfrot.

Lucas wrote the lyrics, Justin programmed the drums/ helped write some guitar tracks, and engineered the entire project.. I'm not totally certain, but I'm pretty sure I recorded all the guitars.. and we all did vocals.
